Halloween isn’t the only thing you have to look forward to in October. The Meadows Music and Arts Festival lineup was announced last month, but I haven’t seen the hype for it that it deserves. Much attention is given to festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza, Governor’s Ball, Bonnaroo, SXSW, EDC, and recently, Panorama. But with such a diverse, incredibly talented group of artists, this year’s The Meadows NYC is proving to be one of the best yet.

The Meadows is a 2-day music festival and art installation in New York City’s Citi Field, set this year for October 1st and 2nd. Headliners include Kanye West (for those that missed him at Governor’s Ball, this is that much more exciting),  recent sensation The Weeknd, Chance the Rapper, EDM genius Kygo, a tribute to the late Prince, the 1975, and my favorite, Cage the Elephant.  Others include Grimes, Empire of the Sun, Børns, the Temper Trap, Robert Delong, and Zella Day. For the full list and tickets, see their website.

With a lineup like this, it’s bound to be an amazing show. Concert goers and art lovers alike can find solace in good music, creative art, and the bonding experience people can only get at a music festival.
