It doesn’t matter if you drive on 91 or 95 or any highway across Connecticut, you see the signs and you see them a lot. The blue highway signs, letting you know what points of interest, food, gas or otherwise, coming up at the next exit. Sometimes it’s McDonald’s, other times it’s Wendy’s, and occasionally it’s the elusive Denny’s or Cracker Barrel – all excellent choices to stop and eat at. However, more often than not, it’s Dunkin’ Donuts.
Not that we really need signs to let us know a Dunkin’ Donuts is nearby – as New Englanders, we inherently know that a Dunks is right around the corner. However, what I saw today forced me to stop, as it was truly the most New England picture I’ve ever taken:
Apparently I’ve found the nexus of the universe!! I can only imagine the sign makers having the best time, cackling with laughter as they designed and produced this, and the road crew that installed it.
