Recently, candystore.com complied 10 years of sales research to find out the three most popular candies in each of the 50 states. They did this by looking at how many pounds of each candy each state consumes, and ranked them from most to least.
According to their website, candystore.com used the help of their sales data along with data from major candy manufacturers to ensure what they found was accurate.

1. Almond Joy (2,457 lbs)
This tasty treat actually got its start in Naugatuck at the Peter Paul company in 1948. However, in 1988 the manufacturer was bought out by Hershey’s. But, you can bet this candy is still extremely popular in its home state.
