Everyone knows: airports plus holidays equals maximum stress. However, if you plan to travel through Bradley, therapy dogs will now be around to soothe you.
That’s right! You will now see cute pups walking around the airport. After a pilot program in August, Bradley has officially implemented the program, the Hartford Courant reports. Aptly titled, “Bradley Buddies,” the program is in partnership with Bright Spot Therapy dogs.
Meet Bradley Buddies James and Raven! They are the stars of our new partnership with the Bright Spot Therapy Dogs organization. They love visiting the airport and bringing joy to our passengers. If you see them, please be sure to say hello. pic.twitter.com/UcZQ1O8wGt

“They love this,” Sally King, one of the dog’s owners, told the Courant. “The dogs took to this like ducks to water. They don’t mind the hustle and bustle of this. He’ll go right up to people here.”
Bradley joins a list of almost 50 airports with this type of therapy program. According to Kevin Dillon, the executive director of the Connecticut Airport Authority, these dogs are great for first time flyers or any passenger who gets pre-flight jitters.
“It’s amazing to me to see the reactions of the passengers. This is a very important program for us, especially now in the holiday period. I personally witness as I go through the terminal building passengers interacting with the dogs. It’s been a very positive reaction.”
For now, the therapy dogs are only there Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 a.m. However, Sunday afternoons will soon be added to the schedule.
