Sure, you can go walking down your street and knock on every door in hope that the owner will give you Snickers and not disgusting popcorn balls- or you can pack up the kids and check out some places that you’re guaranteed a great Trick or Treat experience.  From places to bring the kids to out of the box Halloween events, Connecticut has something for everyone this Thursday night!

Trick or Trunk, Shelton Intermediate School, Shelton, Connecticut, 6pm

Pull up your car and have your children safely Trick or Treat from car to car.  Make sure you bring plenty of candy because the children will be coming to your car too!

Say Boo! Halloween Photo Booths at The Aldrich, Ridgefield, Connecticut

Ttrick-or-treat at The Aldrich and have your photo taken in costume. Visit one of two artist-designed photo booths on Halloween to pose for your picture. Then, see your photo projected on the Museum’s façade!

Orchestrated by the town Fire Department and the Griswold Inn, this parade kicks off at 6pm.  Lots of fun for the whole family!

Goodspeed Opera House, East Haddam, Connecticut

Maybe your idea of fun doesn’t include zombies and demons- Maybe it’s checking out a great musical with a martini.  Then this is the destination for you.  A special presentation of The Most Happy Fella at a great price and includes a martini- It’s their “Trick or Tini” package.

Yale Symphony Orchestra, Halloween Show, New Haven, Connecticut

A midnight show to kick off your Halloween! The orchestra plays an elaborate mix of pop music, film pieces and everything in between.  A very popular event! Get your tickets in advance.

Lindsay Lohan at Foxwoods Resort and Casino, Ledyard, Connecticut

Yes, you read that correctly.  There’s a massive party happening at Foxwoods and they figured it will be a hot mess anyway- Might as well make it official with Lindsay Lohan in attendance.  As if her appearance isn’t odd enough, add Floyd Mayweather to the mix and you have a night of complete madness.

Mystic Seaport Trick or Treat, Mystic, Connecticut

Perfect for the kiddies! A quaint New England back drop to celebrate Fall and Halloween.  Bring the kids from 4p-5:30p to the Seaport to Trick or Treat.  Follow the pumpkin trail to the village to find candy, face painters and spooky things!

Trick or Treat in the heart of Windsor.  Magicians, hayrides and so much more for the whole family.  Kicks off at 5:30p and goes until 7:30p.

Hole in the Wall Theatre, New Britain, Connecticut

Want to avoid all the teenagers knocking on your door for candy (while not wearing any kind of costume?) then head to the theatre and check out The Rocky Horror Show.  Doesn’t get much more Halloween than that!

Pumpkintown USA, East Hampton, Connecticut

If you’re looking for a non-scary idea for the kids, check out this place! A hayride that shows you tons of pumpkins! There’s a barn, a country store, and so much more for the “We’re scared of scary” people in your life.
