Andrew Zimmer is a writer for Thrillist, and he is my new hero. Because they’re paying him to go around the country this summer to discover the best lobster roll in the nation.

Let’s just think about that for a second – an expensive and delicious meal, paid for by your employer, and you get to have as many as you need in order to find the *best* one.

His quest began in New York City, and his journey has focused primarily on the cold, “Maine-style” lobster roll. You know…the bogus one.

Well we all know that the correct one is the “Connecticut-style” and he’s figured out how to make it at home (he has it down to a science, even explaining how there can actually be too much tail meat that will negatively affect the sandwich). Seriously.

He hasn’t posted his Connecticut article yet, but he’s traveling through now and you can follow his quest on Facebook.
