In just over two weeks, the kids will come home with pillowcases full of candy.  Then they will sit and put all the crappy candy off to one side and all the “good” stuff in a separate pile.  As a parent, I’m always torn on what kind of candy to give out.  Sure, Costco has those huge bags- but there’s usually two types to choose from:

The cheap bag with the candy no one likes and the expensive bag with all the good stuff.

Which do you buy?

This decision ultimately determines whether you’re giving out those disgusting rolls of Smarties or you become the awesome house that gives out full-size Twix bars.

I fall somewhere in between.  I usually go for the bags of the decent candy.  You know, the bags that have mini versions of Snickers, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Twix, etc.  Keep your nasty Mike and Ike’s.  Nobody wants that.

The people at Influenster conducted a survey to find what type of candy was given out most commonly in each state.  Connecticut was very popular with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.  Let’s be honest, that’s awesome news.  I would be super annoyed if I lived in Texas, Oregon, Wyoming, Tennessee, or South Carolina where they’re handing out candy corn.  That’s so gross.  Are they giving them out by the handful?

Oh, and what’s up with Arizona that’s giving out Toblerone like it’s a Italian Christmas party?
