No offense, Connecticut, but I don’t always understand you.
I don’t understand how drivers here can create a traffic jam when there’s no reason for it.
I don’t understand why people complain about the snow year after year when they know they live in New England.
And I don’t understand how Mohegan Sun, Foxwoods, Yale, the Xfinity Theater, and UConn are the Top 5 Most Instagrammed Places in the state, according to a report from USA Today.
This doesn’t make any sense. We live in a state with incredible nature views in the country. We live in a state nationally renowned for its leaf-peeping. And we live in a state that gets beautifully white snowfalls every winter.
And somehow, three relatively unattractive buildings and two college campuses are the things we take the most pictures of? That’s just a shame.
All I have to say is that Connecticut has some work to do before next year’s list comes out. There is so much more to Connecticut than slot machines, concerts, and college parties. Visit a state park, go for a hike, or go sledding this winter! Just get outside and take some pictures.
Or, at the very least, take some pictures of Connecticut’s delicious food! It blows my mind that Pepe’s didn’t make this list. Everyone should be snapping a shot of their pizza, even if only to prove that it existed before you devoured it in five minutes flat.
