When you talk about Connecticut food, the first thing that comes to mind is always either “pizza” or “hamburgers.” But as a state, we are so much more than that. We’ve significantly broadened our horizons over the past few years, and it’ll be showcased this Saturday at the annual 102.9 The Whale Coors Light Wing Fest!

It’s at a brand new venue this year, Revolutions Bowling and Lounge, 60 Bidwell Road (Route 5) in South Windsor. 102.9 The Whale Coors Light Wing Fest will take over the outside where they’ve got the beach volleyball courts and will in fact *double* the outside area with some of the best wing masters from all across greater Hartford.

And if all that wasn’t enough, it’s helping out a terrific cause with a portion of the proceeds going to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Just $5 gets you in (kids 12 and under are free) and free parking!

The weather is looking perfect too – 82° on Saturday! So some of the 102.9 The Whale DJs and local celebrities will also be inside the Splash Pool Supply dunk tank! Plus, you’ll have Air Temp Residential Heating & Cooling, Hemlock Hill RV, Scranton Powersports of Vernon , and the Bariatric Center at St. Francis Hospital.

If you find you need to beat the heat (both the literal weather, as well as from the wings), you can head inside Revolutions and check out the bowling action and their brand new state of the art arcade (the giant Connect Four game is a winner).

Grab the entire family and bring your appetite to South Windsor this Saturday from noon until 4pm for the annual 102.9 The Whale Coors Light Wing Fest!
