You’ve probably seen these things before. Sometimes they’re called Zorb balls, and you’ll often see them at adventure parks or ski mountains during the off-months – giant inflatables that people climb inside and roll down gently sloping hills. Usually you see them on terrible shows like “Wipeout” or other Spike TV nonsense. But now it’s here in Connecticut.
Bumper Ball USA is headquartered here in Connecticut out of Stamford, and literally anyone can play. You find an open space and make reservations yourself for parties and corporate events, and they bring the bubbles to you. They’re smaller than the Zorb ones, because your legs are exposed so you can play soccer.
It’s fun – ridiculous, but fun – here they are up in Bristol at ESPN a few months ago bumping the SportsCenter crew:
